Be alert

without comments

Wise and foolish virgins “Be dressed for action and have your lamps lit; be like those who are waiting for their master to return from the wedding banquet, so that they may open the door for him as soon as he comes and knocks. Blessed are those slaves whom the master finds alert when he comes. “

Reference: Luke 12: 35-37

Ok, so this passage really isn’t the passage about the wise and foolish virgins waiting for the wedding to start, but about servants who are waiting for a wedding to end. But I was reminded immediately about the virgins, a story for some reason I’ve always liked but found a bit foreign, and I found this picture from the Orthodox Church in America website, and wanted to share it.
