“The quiet words of the wise are more to be heeded than the shouts of a ruler of fools.” (Ecclesiastes 9:17 )
In still, small voices we speak – peace, harmony to all.
On the whisper of the wind we breathe our song – joy, laughter, good cheer.
In the blink of eye,
In the space of sigh,
Our words to you come.
Love all of humanity,
The waves carry our tune,
The mountains sway to our rhythm.
The song of peace fills the skies
And stirs not one cloud.
You must listen, listen, listen,
If you would hear the lyrics and the melody.
But the drumbeats of war
Cover the swirls of peace.
And the clash of violence upon violence
Swallows the movements of love.
And the small voice is lost
May you, gentlest of readers, strain to hear the peace of God. Selah!
