LOVE IS FROM GOD . . . And we know it!

“Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love.” (I John 4: 7-8 from I John 4:7-21 )

Chances are at this exact moment in your life you love at least one person. At least one! Where do you think that love comes from? This person you love may do things that you love, look the way you like and want them to look, or represents something that you like and want in your life. And that is NOT what I am talking about. Where does the emotion of love come from? The wanting to be with the beloved and hopefully wanting to please the beloved. Where does that desire and want come from? And if you know that it comes from God and SHOULD be Godly, how did it ever get so messed up?!

Beloved, and I call you beloved gentle reader because God has commanded to love everyone, may you know God’s love in your life and show it to others in their lives. Selah! And shalom for your day!

About Carole Boshart

I have blog called "Pondering From the Pacific" and it is based on my reflections on the world - sometimes religious/spiritual, and sometimes not so much. Some days roll along smoothly and some days are like rocky shale. But always I cling to my faith . . . . and my sense of humor!
